Paper Nest Dolls - Baker Girl

I don't bake much, but when I do, it's usually cupcakes. My favorite kind is banana with vanilla frosting. We are having a very hot summer so far, so baking will have to wait. However, Paper Nest Doll Ellie is ready to bake up a batch! You can find this digital stamp here: Baker Ellie. If you would rather have a rubber stamp, her twin sister, Baker Emma can be found here: Baker Emma.  Thank you for stopping by!

Conie Fong - Holiday Ornaments

It's never too early to start making holiday ornaments! These ornaments are made with digital stamps by Conie Fong Art & Design and colored with Prismacolor pencils. All the details are below. Thanks for stopping by and happy crafting!

Here are the links to Conie Fong's images:

I printed the image on kraft cardstock and used a 3-3/4" cork coaster to cut the circle. I cut another circle using black cardstock. Then I cut the kraft cardstock just a little smaller to show the black cardstock as a frame. After coloring the image, I used an old snowflake stamp for the snow flakes and snow. I used liquid glue to glue both pieces of cardstock onto the coaster. I used my crop-a-dile to punch a hole on top and glued the grommet in the hole (you can skip the grommet if you don't have any). I tied some string and added a charm to each one. Fun to make with your kids or at a craft day with family and friends! See below for the list of colors used.

Paper Nest Dolls - Arabian Princess

It's a warm, but very windy day here today. It's going to heat up to 100 degrees this weekend, just like the Middle East where my Paper Nest Dolls Arabian Princess is currently standing. I created the background using Distress Inks and Distress Oxide Inks. I found the temple on FreePik and used my Silhouette Cameo to cut it out in black cardstock. I cut out a giant circle to use as a stencil to create the big bright moon. For the sand, I used a landscape border die and cut it out of kraft paper and distress inked the edges lightly. Thank you for visiting today!

Guest Designing for Paper Nest Dolls

I am so excited and honored to be a guest designer for one of my favorite stamp companies, Paper Nest Dolls! They sell both digital and rubber stamps. As soon as I saw these two digital stamps, Military Boy and Military Girl, I knew I had to make a card with them. I worked for Veterans Affairs for 35 years, so anything military is near and dear to me. I made our military boy and girl to be in the Navy to honor my late grandfather who was in the Navy during WWII. Navy no longer wears blue fatigues, so I colored them in their current colors. Thank you for stopping by!

Celebrating Pride Month

June is Pride Month! I've created this card using two of Stamp Anniething's stamps: 1) Margaret & Angela - Always By Your Side and 2) Michael and Ryan - All For Love.  I subscribe to their monthly stamp club so I get the coordinating dies with them.  The sentiment die is also from the set.  I colored Margaret and Angela with Copic markers and Michael and Ryan with Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers. I know there's a lot of Copic versus Specturm Noir in the craft world. I love both markers and wanted to show that there's not too much difference between the two. Thank you for stopping by!
