Scrappy Boy Stamps: You're Queen For the Day!

I am continuing to have so much fun with Scrappy Boy Stamps' Alice in Wonderland-inspired stamps. This is my fourth project using these stamps and today I've created this card using stamps from the We're All Mad Here and the Off With Their Head stamp sets featuring the Queen of Hearts and two Playing Cards. I used one of the sentiments that states "You're Queen For the Day," so that I can use this card for any celebratory occasion.

I also used the coordinating Wonderland 6x6 paper pack to create the background. The paper pack consists of 24 double-sided cute and fun patterned papers.

To make this card, I first stamped the images, colored them with Copic markers, then used the coordinating outline die to cut them out.

Copic Markers Used:

Queen of Hearts
Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000, E0000
Hair: E18, E08, YR18, YR14
Gold Crown: E25, Y38, Y21
Red: R39, R37, R35, R32
Black: C7, C5, C3, C1

Playing Card - Spade
White: T3, T1, T00, Blender
Skin: E15, E11, E21, E00, E000, E0000
Cheeks: R83

Playing Card - Heart
White: T3, T1, T00, Blender
Skin: E37, E35, E33, E31, E53
Cheeks: R83
Red: R39, R37, R32, R30

To make the background, I used a full sheet of 6x6 patterned paper and trimmed it down so there was a 1/8" border on all sides. Then I used one of the script pattern papers and cut off the corners using a hill die from Gina Marie Designs and adhered that on top of the blue patterned paper. I distressed the edges of the papers with Distress Ink in Tea Dye.

I adhered the colored images onto the card front using adhesive glue, except for the Queen of Hearts. For her, I used double-sided adhesive foam squares. I adhered three clock die cuts from Stamperia onto the card. I stamped the sentiment and cut them out using an oval punch and a scallop oval punch from Stampin' Up, inked the edges with Distress Ink in Tea Dye, then adhered it using double-sided adhesive foam squares. I adhered the card front onto a 6x6 white card base and the card was finished.

I hope you give this card a try! These stamps are so fun to play with!! Thank you for stopping by and have a creative week.

Paper Nest Dolls: Wishing You a Cozy Holiday

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We are still working on all the leftovers from our feast. Now I am getting ready for the Christmas holiday and getting all my cards finished. Here is one I made using the adorable stamp called Emma in Reindeer PJ's in digital format and called Christmas Jammies in red rubber format. Emma is so cute, she is holding a mug of hot chocolate. I knew I had some matching patterned paper to go with this stamp.

For this A2 size card, I first printed out the digital stamp and colored it with Copic markers. I then fussy cut her out.

Copic markers used:
Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00
Cheeks: R20
Hair: E29, E25, E23, E21
Pink: R83, RV32, RV00
Green: BG13, BG11, BG10
Reindeer Antlers: E35, E33, E31
Reindeer Face: E33, E02, E01
Blue: B01, B00, B000

I cut patterned papers from Photoplay for the card mats. The green solid cardstock is from Stampin' Up. The scalloped and oval dies are from Gina Marie Designs. The sentiment is from Close to My Heart.

Thanks you visiting today! I hope you give this adorable card a try. Have a creative week!

Blank Page Muse/I Brake for Stamps: Make Ephemera from a Stencil

This month's theme at Blank Page Muse/I Brake for Stamps (BPM/IBFS) is "Stencil It," which means using a stencil in our project. I love using stencils for making backgrounds and scenes, but did you know you can also make ephemera (also called embellishments and die cuts)?  For today's card, I am using the adorable gnome stamp from BPM/IBFS called PJ Love Gnome designed by Pam Bray, the Cute Mushrooms Stencil designed by Donna Gray, and the Clouds and Drops 5x5 inch Mixed Media Stencil. I made the ephemera with the mushrooms stencil. So fun and easy to do.

You can save 15% on this stamp, the stencils, and all purchases at Blank Page Muse and at I Brake for Stamps by using my special code BPMBetty.

Supplies:
  • BPM/IBFS: PJ Love Gnome designed by Pam Bray
  • BPM/IBFS: Cute Mushrooms Stencil designed by Donna Gray
  • BPM/IBFS: Clouds and Drops 5x5 inch Mixed Media Stencil
  • A6 Card base, white cardstock
  • White cardstock to stamp image, 3"W x 3"H
  • Blue cardstock mat, 4-1/2" x 6-1/8"H
  • White cardstock, card front, 4-1/4"W x 6"H
  • White cardstock to cut hills, 4-1/4"W x 5"H
  • White cardstock to make mushrooms, 6"W x 3"H
  • Hill Die (I used one from Gina Marie Designs)
  • Distress Oxide in Mowed Lawn, Lucky Clover, Tumbled Glass, Stormy Sky, Dusty Concord and ink blending tool
  • Gel Pens in Red, Brown (I used Arteza Metallic Pens)
  • White Gel Pen (I used #10 Gelly Roll pen)
  • Coloring medium of choice (I used Copic markers)
  • Black ink pad
  • Stamping platform or block
  • Your favorite adhesive
  • Optional: Red and white twine
Instructions:
  • Cut out the cardstock as indicated in the supplies list
  • Stamp, color, and fussy cut the gnome image. I colored my stamp with Copic markers
    • Skin: E13, E11, E21
    • Beard: T5, T3, T1

  • Using the white cardstock card front, use the Distress Oxides in Tumbled Glass to ink the sky. Ink far enough down so the colors are just below the hill. I measured with the hills and marked it with a pencil.
  • Tape the clouds stencil over the sky area and use sticky notes paper to cover areas of the stencil you are not using. Using blender brushes, ink the cloud in Distress Oxide in Stormy Sky, then add a little Dusty Concord. Add various clouds to the sky.
  • To create the mushrooms, use the mushroom stencil and the gel pens to color 7 various mushrooms. Add white dots to the mushrooms with a white gel pen.

  • Fussy cut each mushroom
  • Assemble all the pieces onto the card and adhere with your favorite adhesive.
  • Using a stamp platform or acrylic block, stamp the sentiment.
  • Optional: Tie some twine to the card

Scrappy Boy Stamps' newest release was inspired by one of Disney's classics, Alice in Wonderland. There are three stamp sets: 1) We're All Mad Here; 2) Off With Their Head; and a mini set 3) Couriouser. All come with coordinating outline dies and now there is a beautiful 6x6 patterned paper pack called Wonderland. Everything is now available in the Scrappy Boy Stamps store!

Black Friday Sale!! Use Code SB25 for 25% off all products, except bundles since they're already discounted. Code is good through November 29, 2021.

Today's A6 size card features two of my favorite characters, Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum. There is one stamp and I just stamped it twice and colored it the same, since they are identical twins. I also included the colorful Cheshire Cat. I used a mix of papers from the Wonderland paper pack. I love the patterned papers, especially for people like me who don't draw scenes that well.

I first stamped, colored, then cut out the images using the coordinating outline dies. All stamps are colored with Copic markers.

Tweedle Dee & Tweedle Dum
Skin: E13, E11, E21, E00, E000

I used dies stitched rectangular dies from C.C. Designs and a double stitched circle die from Gina Marie Designs to cut the patterned paper. I used a Sizzix embossing folder to add a pattern to the brown cardstock.

This month's Alice in Wonderland-inspired stamps and papers is a must have for your collection!

Conie Fong Art & Design: Happy Holidays

I am still adding to my stash of holiday cards since I don't have enough to send out yet. As you all know, I love penguins and this digital stamp from Conie Fong Art & Design called Snowy the Penguin - Snowy Christmas Presents is so perfect for my holiday cards. Add some patterned papers and it's a quick, but easy card to make. Great for mass producing!

For this A6 size card, I first printed the digital stamp approximately 3" tall, then colored it with Copic markers. I used the 3-1/4" Elizabeth Craft Stitched Indented Square die to cut out the image. Then I used the next larger nesting die to cut out the black cardstock mat.

Copic markers used:
Blue-Green: BG78, BG75, BG72, BG70
Red: R59, R56, R46, R85, R81
White: T3, T1, T0, Blender
Black: T7, T5, T3, T1
Orange: E18, YR16, YR14, Y15
Blue (Snow): B00, B000

The patterned papers I used are from the Photoplay 6x6 paper pad called Not A Creature was Stirring. These beautiful papers are double-sided. All the papers are matted with black cardstock except for the stitched circles.

Thank you for stopping by today and I hope you give this card a try! Use any holiday patterned paper for your background.

Have a wonderful and creative week!

I used a wonky stitched slimline die to cut another patterned paper to put behind the oval frames. I placed a red cardstock mat behind this patterned paper. I used a stitched oval die to cut out 3 frames from the matching blue cardstock then adhered the colored stamps on top. To finish the card, I stamped and trimmed the sentiment and a red mat and adhered it to the card.

Stamp Anniething Design Team Day Project: Peek a Boo Holiday Tags with Kawaii Cuties

Today is my design team day at Stamp Anniething where I get to make a project using products of choice. I made some very simple, but cute holiday tags using the new line of stamps called Kawaii Cuties. The set I used is called The Holidays Are Here. These stamps are much smaller than your chibi doll stamps from Stamp Anniething. These measure about 1" to 1-1/4" tall, which makes them perfect for tags and planners and for putting multiple stamps on one card. These stamps are easy and quick to color.

For these tags, I first stamped them on white cardstock leaving enough space between each stamp to be able to punch them out with a 1-3/4" circle punch. Coordinating outline dies are available for this stamp set, but I wanted to punch them out in a circle for the tags. I then colored all 9 stamps using Copic markers.

To make these tags, I used the Stamp Anniething Peek a Boo Tag Die. The top part of the die is cut out using holiday/winter double-sided patterned paper from my stash (Hobby Lobby and Photoplay) and the bottom part of the die is cut out using white cardstock. I matted the stamp using patterned paper where I used a 2" circle punch. Then I used a 2-1/4" scalloped punch for the bottom layer.

I used the new Annie's Alphabet to cut out words from the Awakening Glitter cardstock. I also used the glitter cardstock to cut out some bows using a die I got as a gift years ago (I think it was a Lawn Fawn die). I tied some ribbons through the hole at the top of the tag and added some embellishments using Snowflake Sprinkles, Chocolate Peppermint Sprinkles, Getting Festive Sprinkles, and Jelly Dots

The tags are fun and easy to make. Give them a try!

Thank you for stopping by and hope you have a very creative week!

I just love it when you have a stamp set and a coordinating patterned paper pack to go with it! Scrappy Boy Stamps has a beautiful 6x6 paper pack called the Wonderful World of Oz to coordinate with the two stamps sets, Land of Oz and Witches and Wizards. There are 24 double-sided sheets and 8 different designs!

To make this A6 card, I first stamped and colored my images with Copic markers. I then used the coordinating outline die to cut them out.

Copic markers used:
Lion
Dark fur: E99, YR27, YR24, YR23, YR21
Light fur: YR24, YR21, YR20
Nose: E59, E53
Cheeks: Prismacolor Pencil PC929

Scarecrow
Skin: E55, E53, E51
Pants, Hat, Belt, Nose: E47, E44, E43, E41
Green: YG97, YG95, YG93, BG90
Straw: YR23, Y19, Y06

Tin Man
Silver: C7, C5, C3, C1
Heart: R39, R24

I used a 3-3/4” stitched circle die and cut out circles from the brick pattern and green stars papers. I used a hill die to cut the brick patterned paper to make it a wavy yellow brick road.

I used black cardstock to mat the card front, green gingham strip, and sentiment. I leave a 1/8” border on all my mats. The papers are so pretty, no extra embellishments are needed for this card!

Thank you for stopping by today. I hope you give give this card a try. So fun and easy to make with patterned papers! Have a wonderful and creative week!
