Scrappy Boy Stamps Sneak Peeks: Happy Mardi Gras Tall Memory Dex Card

Mardi Gras is celebrated the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday, the beginning of the Christian observance of Lent, and this year the date lands on February 21. Scrappy Boy Stamps is releasing this adorable "Cute Girls Mardi Gras" stamp set, coordinating paper pack, and layered stencil just in time for Mardi Gras! Scrappy Boy Stamps also has a new tall Memory Dex die in this release so I made a Mardi Gras Memory Dex card that holds gift tags. This stamp set consists of 5 Cute Girls, 4 accessories stamps, and many sentiments to mix and match!

This new release will be available in the Scrappy Boy Stamps webstore on Friday, January 20, 2023.

Scrappy Boy Stamps products used:
  • Cute Girls Mardi Gras stamps and outline dies
  • Cute Girls Mardi Gras paper pack
  • Cute Girls Mardi Gras Layered Stencil
  • Tall Memory Dex Die
  • Stitched Nested Tag Dies
  • A2 Stitched Scalloped Edge Dies

I colored the stamps using Copic markers using the following colors:

Girl with Hat
Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000
Cheeks: E93
Green: YG17, YG05, YG01
Purple: V17, V15, V13
Yellow/Gold: E23, Y38, YR21

Girl with Mask
Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00
Cheeks: E93
Hair: E18, E08, YR18, YR14
Green: YG17, YG05, YG01
Purple: V17, V15, V13
Yellow/Gold: E23, Y38, YR21

I cut the back of the card using the Tall Memory Dex Die out of white cardstock and inked the stencil using Distress Inks in Wild Honey, Twisted Citron, and Seedless Preserves. I then cut the card front using the Tall Memory Dex Die using one of the patterned papers. I cut 2/3 of the card at an angle to make a pocket. I added a black cardstock trim.

I cut the tags using the Stitched Nested Tag Dies. I cut black cardstock using one of the dies as a mat for the stamp. On the back of the tags, I added white cardstock for a place to write.

Thank you for stopping by today! Have a wonderful and creative week!
