La-La Land Crafts: Sew Excited For You Tag - May 2024 Kit of the Month Tutorial

I am so happy to share my first tutorial as the guest designer for La-La Land Crafts! This tag features stamps and dies from the May 2024 Kit of the Month. This kit includes a Marci rubber stamp, four hedgehog clear stamps, a dress form clear stamp, a sewing machine die, a spool of thread with needle die, and a patchwork quilt die with buttons and various shapes. So cute and so much fun!

CUTTING & SCORING

White cardstock:
(1) piece 4.5” x 6” to die cut back panel of Large Stitched Tag
(1) piece 3” x 3” to die cut sewing machine
(1) piece 2” x 1.25” to stamp and die cut sentiment
(1) piece 4” x 5” to stamp & color hedgehogs & dress form (I used X-Press It Blending Card)

Black cardstock:
(2) pieces 2.25” x 2.25” to die cut circles
(1) piece 1.5” x 1.25” to die cut tag hold reinforcement piece

Pink cardstock:
(1) piece 4” x 4” to die cut sewing machine and buttons

Teal cardstock:
(1) piece 3” x 1.25” to die cut needle and button

Patterned paper:
(1) piece 4.5” x 6” to die cut front panel of Large Stitched Tag

Ribbon:
(1) piece 11” pink organza ribbon (5/8” wide)
(1) piece 11” pink & white twine
(1) piece 11” black & white twine

HOW TO:

Scene

• Using the largest die of the Large Stitched Tag die, cut one tag from white cardstock and another one from patterned paper. Adhere these two pieces together. The back of the tag is for adding a handwritten message.

• Die cut the sewing machine from white cardstock and another one from pink cardstock, except for the hand wheel, spool of thread, and bottom base piece. These pieces are cut only from white cardstock. Adhere the pink sewing machine on top of the white one. Adhere the remaining pieces as shown in the photo.

• Stamp the sentiment and die cut using the Scalloped Sentiment Die as shown.

• Die cut the needle and buttons. Adhere to the tag as shown.
• Adhere the Dress Form to the tag as shown.

• Adhere the Hedgehogs onto the black cardstock. Adhere to the tag using double-sided foam tape.

• Tie the ribbons onto the tag.

Stamping and Coloring

Stamp, color (Copic marker colors listed below), and fussy cut the Hedgehogs and Dress Form.
