Stamp Anniething: Celebrate New Beginnings Watercolor Card

Today I am sharing a floral card for my design team day at Stamp Anniething. I used the beautiful stamp, Annie's Garden Tulips in Pitcher, to create this "celebrate new beginnings" card.

It has been ages since I have colored with my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens. Instead of using pan watercolors and brushes, these pens have the watercolor in them. I used a water brush to wet the paper then paint with the pens.

Stamp Anniething products used:
  • Annie's Garden Tulips in Pitcher stamp
  • April 2023 stencil from Stencil Club (to emboss background)
  • Card Mat Dies (retired)
  • Jelly Dots
Supplies used:
  • A2 white card base
  • White cardstock scrap for sentiment
  • 2 pieces of 4.25" x 5.5" white watercolor paper (I used Bristol)
  • White embossing powder
  • Water brush pen
  • Distress Ink in seedless preserves and shaded lilac (to create ink smooshed frame)
Zig Clean Color Real Brush Pens used:
  • Tulips: 092 Blue Gray, 083 Lilac
  • Leaves: 047 May Green
  • Pitcher: 034 Dull Blue
Instructions:
  1. Stamp the image on watercolor paper and use white embossing powder and heat set it. Color the image and fussy cut it out.
  2. Using the stencil, emboss the card base front using a die cut/embossing machine (I used a Big Shot).
  3. Ink smoosh with Distress Inks on watercolor paper. Use the card mat die to cut the frame.
  4. Stamp and trim the sentiment as shown.
  5. Adhere all the pieces as shown. Everything is adhered flat except for the sentiment where I used double-sided adhesive tape.
  6. Finish the card by adding 3 Jelly Dots.

Thank you for stopping by. Have a creative day!
