Scrappy Boy Stamps Future Family: Shoot for the Stars

Does this family look familiar to you? Inspired by the Jetsons, Scrappy Boy Stamps released this awesome set called Future Family a couple of weeks ago. What an incredible set that includes 9 image stamps and 13 sentiment/word stamps that you can combine to create your own sentiments! I’ve been having fun with this set and created an A6 size birthday card using all the family members, including the pup.

I first stamped all the images, used the coordinating outline die to cut them out, then used Copic markers to color them.

To make the galaxy background, I used Distress Inks in Worn Lipstick, Peacock Feathers, Blueprint Sketch, Twisted Citron, and Black Soot on water color paper. I then sprinkled some water and blotted up the excess water with a paper towel. I added additional stars using a white gel pen.

I used an in and out circle die to cut out a circle for my card front. I then cut out a geometric frame to put around the circle. Both dies are from Gina Marie Designs. I added a thin strip of glitter washi tape to the top and bottom of the card. The one on the bottom is for the characters to stand on so that they don't look like they are floating.

I stamped the sentiment, trimmed it, and matted it with black cardstock and adhered it onto the card front. I trimmed the card front so that the galaxy background extends all around it forming a frame. I adhered the card front to the galaxy piece with liquid glue, then adhere both layers to the A6 card base.

This is such a fun card to make. These stamps are so cute and easy to color. I hope you give it a try!  Scrappy Boy Stamps are so fun!!

Thank you for visiting today. Have a very creative week!
