To make the galaxy background, I used Distress Inks in Worn Lipstick, Peacock Feathers, Blueprint Sketch, Twisted Citron, and Black Soot on water color paper. I then sprinkled some water and blotted up the excess water with a paper towel. I added additional stars using a white gel pen.
I used an in and out circle die to cut out a circle for my card front. I then cut out a geometric frame to put around the circle. Both dies are from Gina Marie Designs. I added a thin strip of glitter washi tape to the top and bottom of the card. The one on the bottom is for the characters to stand on so that they don't look like they are floating.
I stamped the sentiment, trimmed it, and matted it with black cardstock and adhered it onto the card front. I trimmed the card front so that the galaxy background extends all around it forming a frame. I adhered the card front to the galaxy piece with liquid glue, then adhere both layers to the A6 card base.
This is such a fun card to make. These stamps are so cute and easy to color. I hope you give it a try! Scrappy Boy Stamps are so fun!!
OMG memories. I love me some Astro! Love it.
