Scrappy Boy Stamps: Chocolate Makes Everything Better Treat Bag & Christmas Card

I just love creating Christmas and other holiday cards from stamp sets that are not specifically designed for that purpose. Today I am sharing a Christmas card and a candy treat bag using two of my favorite Scrappy Boy Stamps sets:  Chocolate, Wine, & Best Friends and Everyone's Favorite Red Head.

I also have a treat bag tutorial to share. I created this simple bag using the Scrappy Boy Stamps A2 Envelope & Liner Die Set. I just used the envelope die and not the liner die. I made mine out of white bond paper and decorated it using stamps and patterned paper, but you can make your treat bags using light weight scrapbook paper.

  • A2 Envelop Die
  • Scrappy Boy Stamps Chocolate, Wine, and Best Friends stamps and coordinating outline dies
  • Chocolate Factory Scene Builder Stencil
  • Merry and Bright Paper Pack
Other supplies used:
  • White bond paper

Candy Bag Instructions:
  1. Use the Scrappy Boy Stamps A2 Envelop Die to cut out the envelop using white bond paper.
  2. Crease all the folds using a bone folder. Glue the sides, bottom, and the envelope closed.

  3. Using a deco scissor of any design (or regular scissors) and cut off one side. This will be the top of the bag.

  4. Score the sides and bottom 1/2" using a scoreboard.

  5. Puff up the envelope at the creases to form a bag and fold the bottom flat and fold the ends into a triangle tip. Then glue the tips down.

  6. Decorate the bag using the green cardstock and patterned paper using the following sizes.

  7. Using the heart from the Chocolate Factory Scene Builder Stencil, trace the inside of the heart onto vellum. Cut out the heart with scissors.

  8. Adhere the heart on top of the patterned paper using non-liquid adhesive, such as a tape runner or double-sided adhesive tape, then adhere the sentiment and candy cut outs to decorate.

9. Fill the bag with candy!

Both projects are so fun to make! It's so easy to make treat bags using the envelope die.

Thank you so much for stopping by. Have a creative week!
