Scrappy Boy Stamps: April New Release

The Scrappy Boy Stamps April 2023 new release is just filled with adorable stamps, awesome paper packs, and amazing stencil sets! I have two cards to share, one using the "Make an Impression" set and one with "Cute Girls Book Lovers."

The new releases are now available in the Scrappy Boy Stamps webstore.

Make an Impression Card: May your day be completely and perfectly incandescently happy!

The Make an Impression stamp set was inspired by Jane Austen's 18th century novels. This set consists of 6 character, 2 fan, and 7 sentiment stamps. This set is perfect for many occasions, such as friendship, Valentines, good luck, and more!

I just had to make a slimline card to show off the amazing "Roses 4 Piece Layered Stencil Set." Each of the 4 layers of the stencil are numbered so you will know the order to ink. Always start with inking the roses using your lightest color. I used Distress inks in Shabby Shutters (leaves), Milled Lavender, Seedless Preserves, and Dusty Concord. I inked this using Bristol paper so that I can add some water and paint specks. I used acrylic paint in plum and white.

The size of the card base is 3.5"W x 8.5"H. I used one of the Scrappy Boy Stamps nesting Slimline Scalloped Edge Dies to cut out lavender cardstock to mat the card base. Then I trimmed the stenciled roses piece to fit on top.

I placed the colored stamps on lavender cardstock that I cut using a Gina Marie Designs oval stitched scallop die. I mounted this onto the card with double sided foam adhesive. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out using one of the nesting Stitched Rectangle Dies and mounted it using the double sided foam adhesive. I finished the card by adding a few lavender colored pearl rhinestones from my stash.

Cute Girls Book Lovers Card: So many books, so little time

This month's "Cute Girls Book Lovers" stamp set consists of 6 image stamps and 8 sentiments. This set is perfect for making cards, tags, and book marks for all your book loving family and friends!

I stamped the images and colored them with Copic markers in the following colors:

Cute Girl:
Skin: E13, E11, E21, E00
Cheeks: E93
Hair: 100, C7, C5, C3
Purple: V17, V15,V12
Gray: N7, N4, N1
White: N3, N1, 0

Books:
Brown: E35, E33, E31
Pink: RV66, RV55, RV63
Green: G17, G07, G03
Yellow: YR24, YR23, YR21
Blue: B37, B34, B32

I first used one of the nesting Scrappy Boy Stamps Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut a black cardstock mat and adhered it to a top-folding A2 card base. I then used one of the nesting Scrappy Boy Stamps Stitched Scalloped Dies to cut one of the patterned papers from the I Love Reading Paper Pack and adhered this over the black cardstock.

I used a retired CC Designs In & Out Scalloped Circle Die to cut out the circle frame. I adhered vellum in the center then cut off an inch and adhered them on the opposite sides of the card. I then used double sided foam tape and adhered the Cute Girl onto the bigger circle.

I stamped the sentiment and used one of the nesting Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut it out and adhered it to the card front. I added a few pearl rhinestones from my stash to finish the card.

Thank you for visiting today. I hope you give this card a try. The stencil is so fun to play with! Have a creative day!
