Scrappy Boy Stamps: Fun Banner Card Using Pre-colored Dies!

Today is my design team day at Scrappy Boy Stamps where I create a project using an older release. I am using one of my favorite releases called "I Y'am What I Y'am" based on one of my favorite childhood cartoons.

When you only have an hour to make a card, the best things to use are pre-colored die cuts, shaped dies, and patterned papers! Here's the card I made in about 20 minutes! It took me a while to come up with the design, but I've done that for you!

Scrappy Boy Stamps products used:

  • I Y'am What I Y'am pre-colored die cuts
  • I Y'am What I Y'am Paper Pack
  • Sentiment stamp from I Y'am What I Y'am stamp set
  • Stitched Banners dies
  • Stitched Circle dies
Instructions:
  1. Using the largest banner die, cut the shaped card base by placing the top of the die over the crease of an A2 size card base so it doesn't cut. This will create the top folding card.
  2. Using the second largest banner die, cut the top mat using patterned paper and adhere to the card base.
  3. Using a 3" circle die, cut out a circle and ink some clouds or plain sky and adhere.
  4. Cut out a strip of of patterned paper 3-3/4"W x 3/4"H and adhere to card.
  5. Stamp the sentiment onto the circle piece.
  6. Adhere the die cuts onto the card. I used double-sided foam tape for the two characters and liquid glue for the burgers.

Thank you for visiting today. I hope you give this style of card a try. Use whatever dies and papers you have! Have a creative day!
