Welcome to Part 2 of Scrappy Boy Stamps' February 2024 sneak peeks! This post covers two of the four new dies that will be released on Friday, February 16, 2024. Please see my previous post for the list of new releases and sneak peeks of the three new stamp sets. I will be sharing projects using the Hoodie Shaped Card Die and the Mason Jar Box Die in this post. My fellow design teamie, Tina Jackson Fry, will share her projects using the other two new dies as part of her sneak peeks tomorrow.
Project 1: Happy Birthday Cards using the Hoodie Shaped Card Die
Products used:
- Hoodie Shaped Card Die
- I Y'am What I Y'am Paper Pack and Colored Die Cuts
Supplies used:
- I used the largest Hoodie Shaped Card Die to cut the card base. Put the top edge of the die over the crease of a folded 8.5 x 11 inch paper so that it doesn't cut to create a top folding card base.
- Die cut the remaining pieces of the Hoodie Shaped Card Dies as shown.
- Adhere the cuffs and pocket. Before adhering the front of the hood, insert a five inch piece of baker's twine or ribbon and tie the ends with knots.
- Add the pre-colored die cuts.
A fun and easy card to put together. This die can be used to create your team's favorite hoodie, favorite character, or for school spirit wear! A must die for your collection!
Project 2: Homemade Card using the Mason Jar Box Die
Products used:
- Mason Jar Box Die
- I Love Cooking Paper Pack
Supplies used:
- A6 white card base
- Bristol cardstock for Mason Jar Box Dies
- Distress Ink in Hickory Smoke for the jar lid
- Distress Ink in Peacock Feathers for the jar and ice cubes
- Distress Ink in Squeezed Lemonade and Wild Honey for the lemonade and lemons
- Copic marker BG13 for the straw and Homemade word die
- Acetate
Instructions:
- I cut all the die pieces out of Bristol cardstock and inked them with Distress Ink, except for the straw and Homemade word die. The straw and word die is colored with Copic marker BG13.
- I assembled and adhered the pieces as shown in the card.
- I cut a piece of acetate using the largest Mason jar die. This acetate will cover all the die cuts so it looks like glass. This piece is attached under the lid using double sided tape and and a dot of clear liquid glue on the bottom. I put a weight on top of this until the glue dried.
A fast and easy card to put together and can be used for any occasion by adding your own sentiment.
Thank you for visiting today. I hope you enjoyed part two of this month's sneak peeks!
