Scrappy Boy Stamps' new Cute Girls Cat Lovers are just adorable! A must have for cat and animal lovers! I made my card using the big Yarn Ball Mini Album Die. Project 4: A2 Cover Plate - Mouse Ears and Hearts

Scrappy Boy Stamps has release it's first two cover plates. Cover plates are A2 sized so they make card making easy. After cutting out the front panel with the cover plate, you can decorate it or just add a sentiment. The possibilities are endless! I added a mouse head and ribbon.

Scrappy Boy Stamps products used:
  • A2 Cover Plate - Mouse Ears and Hearts
  • Stitched Circle Dies (to create mouse head, I used 2" and 1-1/8" dies)
Supplies used:
  • A2 white card base
  • Black cardstock for cover plate and scrap for mouse head
  • Red cardstock scrap for mouse head
  • Yellow cardstock for buttons on mouse head
  • Small hole punch
  • White Bristol or watercolor cardstock 4.5" x 7"
  • Distress inks in Mustard Seed, Squeezed lemonade, Candied apple, Barn door
  • Black ribbon

For this card, I cut a piece of black cardstock using the cover plate. Save those die cut mouse ears and hearts for a future project.

To create the background, I used Distress Inks and ink smooshed Bristol cardstock. I trimmed it to fit behind the cover plate cutout. Trim the remaining piece to fit the front of the card.

To create the mouse head, I used a 2" and 1-1/8" stitched circle dies to create the head and ears. To create the red "shorts" I used the 1-1/8" circle die and then cut it in half. For the buttons, I used a small hole punch.

To secure the bow, I place it in between the card base and the Bristol cardstock. Adhere everything in place with liquid glue.

Project 5: A2 Cover Plate - Gloves and Hearts

Just like Project 4 above, this is a quick and easy card. Even quicker since the mouse head is an actual die and I used glitter cardstock behind the cover plate cutout.

Scrappy Boy Stamps products used:
  • A2 Cover Plate - Gloves and Hearts
  • Gift Card Add On (Mouse head only)
  • Corset Mini Album Die (Bow only)
Supplies used:
  • A2 white card base
  • Black cardstock mat
  • Bright pink glitter cardstock
  • Pink cardstock (for the bow)
  • Black Ribbon
This card is so simple to put together. Die cut everything and adhere as shown. Add the ribbon to finish the card.
