Conie Fong Art & Design: Witching You a Happy Halloween

It’s starting to look more like Halloween in my neighborhood. Several of my neighbors have put up their spooky Halloween decorations so now I’m really in the mood to make more Halloween cards. I made this card using the adorable digital stamp from Conie Fong Art & Design called Witchy Broomstick Gnome. There are seven images in this bundle. Head on over to the Conie Fong Etsy store for all the details. This stamp bundle is 25% off for a limited time. No coupon needed.

I just love working with digital stamps so for this A2 card, I made sure that sized it on my cardstock the size I wanted. I then added the sentiment at the bottom of the card and printed it out.  I printed the stamp again without the sentiment on masking paper so that I can mask it to create the background.

Before inking the background, I colored the stamp using Copic markers. You can do the background first if that’s your preference, but I find it easier to color the stamp first.

Copic markers used

Skin: E13, E11, E21, E00, E000
Cheeks: R20, R30
Hair: E18, E08, YR18, YR14
Purple: V17, V15, V12
Green: YG09, YG05, YG01
Orange: YR09, YR04, YR02
Broom: YR27, YR23, Y18
Broom stick: E37, E34, E31
Cat: C5, C3, C1, R20
Moon: Y18, Y13, Y11, W1

To create the background, I masked the stamp I just colored then used Distress Inks in Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire, and Black Soot.  I then sprinkled some Distress Ink Stain Spray in Picket Fence to create some stars.

To finish the card, I added a black cardstock mat to the card front then adhered everything onto the card base.  A very simple, but cute card to make!

Thank you for visiting and I hope you give this card a try! Hope you have a very creative week!
