Scrappy Boy Stamps: Loving the May Release!

Scrappy Boy Stamps May 2023 release is becoming one of my favorites! I am having so much fun with the pirate-theme sets, Shiver Me Timbers and A Pirate's Life. Perfect set for making both masculine and feminine cards, scrapbook pages, and party favors! In addition, this month's Cute Girls Summer theme is perfect for any summer time celebration. Today I'm sharing two projects with this month's release.

Project 1: Arrgh Means...I love You in Pirate

This slimline card uses stamps from both the Shiver Me Timber and A Pirate's Life sets.

I first stamped all the images, colored them with Copic markers, then cut them out with the coordinating outline dies. I colored the images with the following Copic markers:

Male Pirate

Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00

Cheeks: R20

Hair: E29, E25, E31

Green: YG97, YG95, YG93,YG91

White: N3, N1, 0

Silver: N4, N3, N1

Gray: W7, W5, W3

Red: R24, R22, R20

Brown: E47, E44, E43

Dog

Female Pirate

Skin: BV23, E15, E13, E11, E21

Treasure Chest

I used the A Pirate's Life Stencil with white pigment ink on black cardstock to create the card front. I matted the card from from patterned papers from the Pirates slimline paper pack. 

I adhered the sentiment, dog, and treasure chest to the card front using liquid glue and the two pirates with double-sided foam adhesive tape.

To finish, I adhered the card front to a slimline base card that measures 8-1/2"W x 3-5/8"H.

Project 2: I Hope Life is Sweet!

I first stamped all the images, colored them with Copic markers, then cut them out with the coordinating outline dies. I colored the images with the following Copic markers:

Girl

Skin: BV23, E15, E13, E11, E21

Cheeks: R83, R81

Tongue: R22, R20

Hair: E29, E25, E23, E31

Blue: B97, B95, B93, B91

Purple: V15, V25, V22, V20

Ice Cream

Pink: RV29, RV25, RV23, RV21

Brown: E25, E23, E21

I used the I Love Summer stencil with Distress Oxide Inks in Picked Raspberry and Twisted Citron to create the background. I added strips of patterned papers about the stenciled piece. I added the "sweet" word die that is available with the new Treat Box die. I stamped and cut out the sentiment using a coordinating oval die punch from Stampin' Up.

To finish the card, I added a few clay swirls from Stamp Anniething.
