Scrappy Boy Stamps: The Show Must Go On and I Dig Gardening!

I am having so much fun with Scrappy Boy Stamps' July 2023 new release! As I am creating my slimline card with The Greatest Show stamp set, I was watching the movie The Greatest Showman. It just makes crafting all more fun when you watch a movie that the products are inspired from. After finishing this card, I turned to HGTV to watch a gardening show while making this mini-slimline card using stamps from the Cute Girls Plant Lovers set. Inside this card is an early sneak peek of the Gift Card Holder Die that will be released in August!

Card 1: The Show Must Go On! Slimline card

Scrappy Boy Products used:

• The Greatest Show stamps and outline dies
• The Greatest Show paper pack
• Circle dies from the Camera Memory Dex Die

I stamped the images, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out with the coordinating outline dies. I used the following Copic marker colors:

Smallest Man

Gold: YR27,Y38, Y17

Blue: B39, B37, B34,B32

The slimline card front measures 8.5"W x 3.5"H. I cut blue cardstock 1/8" smaller on all sides for first layer. The star patterned paper is 8.25"W x 3" H and the striped piece is 8.25"W x .5"H. I cut out the silver glittle circles using the two circle dies from the Camera Memory Dex Die. I adhered the background pieces as shown. 

I adhered the colored stamps to the card front using double-sided adhesive foam tape. To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment, matted it with blue cardstock, and adhered it to the card.

Card 2: I Dig Gardening! Mini-slimline Card

• Stitched Rectangle Die (for sentiment)
• Gift Card Insert Die (new for August!)
• Clouds Edger Die (new for August!)

I stamped the images, colored them with Copic markers, and cut them out with the coordinating outline dies. I used the following Copic marker colors:

Green: YG97, YG95, YG93, YG91

Red: R89, R85, R83, R81

Dirt: E27, E25, E23, E21

Leaves: G28, G09, G14, YG05

To create this mini-slimline card, I first scored and folded one of the patterned papers from the I Love Plants paper pack. I added white cardstock to the inside of the card for writing a message. I added the new gift card holder inside the card.

For the outside of the card, I created a belly band and used the other part of the Gift Card Holder Die to create the scene. I used the new Clouds Edger Die and created clouds. I inked the clouds and the background with Distress Inks in Salvaged Patina and Vintage Photo. I adhered the colored images onto this panel. 

To finish the card, I stamped the sentiment, cut it out with one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies and adhered it to the card along with the potted plant.
