Scrappy Boy Stamps: More May Release Projects!

This month's pirate-themed and summer-themed releases are so much fun to play with! Not only am I loving the stamps and dies, but I love the stencils and patterned papers! If you all haven't noticed by now, I really love using stencils and patterned papers for most of my projects! They add so much to a card and creates easy and beautiful backgrounds. Today I am sharing an A2 card using Shiver Me Timbers and A Pirate's Life and a tall Memory Dex card using Cute Girls Summer. Check out the entire release: Scrappy Boy Stamps webstore.

Project 1: You are my Treasure!

This card uses stamps from both the Shiver Me Timbers and A Pirate's Life sets.

I first stamped the images, colored them with Copic markers, then cut them out with the coordinating outline dies. I used the following Copic marker colors:

Pirate
Skin: BG99, BG96, BG93, BG90
Yellow: Y17, Y35, Y02
Black: C9, C7, C5, C3
Brown: E49, E47, E44, E43

Dog
Gray: W7, W5, W3
Pink: R20

Treasure Chest
Gold: E23, Y38, YR21
Red: R29, R22
Brown: E79, E77, E74, E71

Rum Bottles
Brown: E79, E74, E71

I used the A Pirate's Life stencil to create the treasure map. I used Distress Inks in Tea Dye, Fired Brick, Peeled Paint, and Black Soot.

I used patterned papers from the Pirates paper pack to create the layers. I used the Stitched Rectangle Die to cut out the patterned paper to mat the card. I used the one of the small Stitched Rectangle Dies to cut out the sentiment.

I adhered all the papers and stamps with liquid glue except for the pirate and dog, where I used double-sided adhesive foam tape.

Such a fun card to put together!

Project 2: When Life Turns up the Heat... Get a Fan! Memory Dex Card

If you haven't had a chance to play with the Memory Dex Dies, you are missing out on all the fun! Scrappy Boy Stamps has many different Memory Dex Dies of various shapes and sizes. The one I am using is the Tall Memory Dex Die. It's is about double the size of the average Memory Dex Die to give more space to be creative!

I used the stamps and patterned papers from Cute Girls summer to create the adorable Memory Dex Card.

I first stamped the images, colored them with Copic markers, then cut them out with the coordinating outline dies. I used the following Copic marker colors:

Cute Girl & Fan
Skin: E04, E11, E21, E00, E000
Cheeks: E93
Tongue: R22, R20
Hair: E17, E08, YR18, YR14, Y13
Purple: V17, V15, V12

Light Blue: B00

Sun
Yellow: Y20, Y13, Y11, Y00
Tongue: R22, R20
Cheeks: R20, R000

I used the Tall Memory Dex die to cut the card out using paper from the Cute Girls Summer Paper Pack. I cut out two strips of patterned paper to ground the fan and Cute Girl and adhered it with liquid glue.

I stamped the sentiment and cut it out using one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies. I adhered it with liquid glue. I adhered all the colored stamps with double-sided adhesive foam tape. To finish the card, I added some foam confetti dots from Stamp Anniething.

A quick, easy, and cute Memory Dex die to add to my collection. I hope you give this one a try!

Thank you for visiting and have a creative day!

Scrappy Boy Stamps: Your Wish is my Command Memory Dex Card

Today is my design team day where I share a project using an older stamp. One of my favorite Scrappy Boy Stamp sets is She's a Dream, inspired by everyone's favorite genie! Since I love this stamp set so much, I wanted to make a Memory Dex card to add to my collection.

Scrappy Box products used:
  • She's a Dream stamps and outline dies
  • She's a Dream paper pack
  • Filmstrip Memory Dex Die
  • Envelope Memory Dex Die
  • Memory Dex File Folder Die
  • Stitched Rectangle Die

I stamped and colored all images using Copic markers in the following colors:

Genie
Skin: E15, E11, E21, E00
Cheeks: E93
Lips: R22, R20
Hair: E39, YR24, YR23, YR20
Pink: R59, R85, R83, R81

The genie bottle was colored using Arteza glitter gel pens. The genie smoke is colored with Copic markers RV63, RV52, RV00.

I used the many Memory Dex Dies listed above to put this card together. The base of the die is created by cutting two patterned papers using the Memory Dex File Folder Die and adhered them back to back for stability. Then I used the Filmstrip die and cut out black cardstock and patterned paper. The back of the card has a pocket that was created using part of the Envelope Memory Dex die.

I stamped the sentiment on white cardstock and cut it out with one of the nesting Stitched Rectangle Dies. To finish the card, I added some jelly dots from Stamp Anniething.

Thank you for visiting! I hope you give the Memory Dex card a try. So fun to make! Have a creative day!

Scrappy Boy Stamps: Envelope Memory Dex Card

It is so much fun creating Memory Dex cards using the new Envelope Memory Dex die from Scrappy Boy Stamps. This envelope die makes the perfect gift card holder. This is perfect if you are in a Memory Dex swap group or sending a gift to someone who collects Memory Dex cards. Not a Memory Dex collector? Then it's just as fun to mount it on a card or scrapbook page! This card features stamps from the Little Buddy set.

The Envelope Memory Dex die set comes with little embellishment dies in the shapes of a bunny, paw print, lips, and two wax seals for decorating your card.

Scrappy Boy Products used:
  • Envelope Memory Dex Die
  • Little Buddy Stamps and outline dies
  • Three Hour Tour Paper Pack

I stamped and colored all the stamps with Copic markers in the following colors:

Little Buddy
Skin: RV34, E11, E21, E00
Cheeks: E93
Hair: E29, E35, E31
Hat (White): T3, T1, T0, 0
Jeans (Blue):B95, B93, B91
Shirt (Red): R37, R35, R32

Palm Tree
Brown: E29,E25, E23, E21
Green: YG17, YG05, YG03, YG01

Life Preserver
White: T3, T1, 0
Red: R37, R35, R32

Fish
Gray: T5, T3, T1
Blue: B23, B21

Bananas
Yellow: YR23, Y08, Y02
Brown: E29, E23

For this card, I used papers from the Three Hour Paper Pack. In order for the envelope flap to stay closed, I used a thumb notch punch so that the tip of the envelop can slip into it. If you don't have a thumb notch punch, you can use two way glue or simply tie twine or ribbon around the card to close the flap.

Thank you for stopping by. I hope you give these new Memory Dex dies a try. I really love this Envelope Die since it creates a pocket for a gift card.

Scrappy Boy Stamps: Every Little Boy is a Prince - Tall Memory Dex Card

It has been so fun to make Memory Dex cards using Scrappy Boy Stamps' new Tall Memory Dex Die. This bigger die has more surface room to decorate and create a scene. I created this card using stamps, patterned paper, and a stencil from the January 2023 release called Adventures of a Prince.

I stamped and colored all the images using Copic markers in the following colors:

Little Prince
Skin: E13, E11, E21, E00, E000
Cheeks: E93
Hair: YR23, Y26, YR21
Yellow: E35,Y26, Y23
Green: YG67, YG63, YG61
Gold (crown): E23, Y38, YR21
Gray (shoes): N7, N4, N1

King
Skin: E13, E11, E21, E00
Cheeks: E93
Hair: E27, E25, E21
Gold (crown & chair): E23, Y38, YR21
Red: R37, R35, R32,R30
Gray: C7, C5, C3

Sheep
Face, ears, legs: E02, E01, E00
White: C5, C3, C1, 0
Hooves: C5
Nose: C5, C3

To create the scene, I used the Adventures of a Little Prince Stencil and inked it with Distress Ink in Tea Dye and Vintage Photo onto white cardstock. I traced the shape of the planet onto the patterned paper and hand cut it to fit the sky and adhered it to the white cardstock. Then I used the Tall Memory Dex Die to it out.

I adhered all the stamps as shown. I stamped the sentiment and cut it out using a Scrappy Boy Stamps Stitched Rectangle Die and adhered it to the top of the card.

Thank you for stopping by today! I hope you give these tall Memory Dex cards a try. You'll have fun making them!

Have a creative week!
