Welcome to Day 2 of the sneak peeks of the new releases where this month’s theme is Friendship! Today I am showcasing the adorable stamp, Mei-Yin-Our Friendship is a Gift. I am so happy that Stamp Anniething created another Asian chibi doll. This stamp reminds me of my friends and me on our shopping sprees so I had to create a scene with her shopping.
I also created a matching tag using one of the new Peek a Boo tags. This is a great set to give to a friend. Inside the tag is an image of Stamp Anniething's Charity of Choice stamp, Squishy and Smudge. Scroll down to see the picture.
Note: Links to all the products will be available Friday, April 9.
To create this A6 size card, I first stamped and printed Mei-Yin and cut her out with the coordinating outline dies. Then I colored her using Copic markers.
Copic Markers Used:
Skin: RV34, E13, E02, E01, E00
Cheeks: R20, R30
Tongue: R22, R30
Hair: C9, C7, C5, C3
Aqua: BG07, BG05, BG02, B00
Yellow: Y17, Y15, Y13, Y11
To create the boutique background, I imported a basic store free clipart image from the Internet into my Silhouette Studio software. I added the boutique sign and then created a window with the open sign on the door. I printed it out in light gray for a no-line look. I manually drew in the sidewalk. I then colored it using Copic markers.
Copic Markers used:
Brown: E44, E43, E42
Gray building: T3, T2, T1, T0
Awning and door: RV69, RV66, RV55, RV63, RV52; BG07, BF05, BG02, BG01
Windows: B00, B000, B0000
Sidewalk: W3, W2, W1
I stamped the sentiment and cut it with a paper trimmer. I cut out a pink cardstock mat.
For this A6 card, I cut pink and black mats and adhered everything to the card base using liquid glue. I adhered Mei-Yin using foam tape. To finish the card, I added glitter enamel dots.
Tag Instructions:
There is no coloring for this Peek a Boo tag, just a little ink blending. I first cut out the front of the tag using white cardstock. I ink blended the flap using Stamp Anniething Hybrid ink in Azure and the new Quilted Elegance stencil. I cut out another tag front using aqua colored cardstock and cut off the flap and glued it to the top of the white cardstock. I then cut the bottom tag piece out of pink cardstock and glued the top piece to the bottom piece.
I stamped the sentiment, “sending you a smile,” onto the inside flap. I stamped the Stamp Anniething Squishy and Smudge stamp (you can use any stamp or draw a smiley face) and used a circle punch to punch it out. I also used this circle punch to punch out circle in the aqua cardstock to add a mat.
I then used the new Bestie word die and cut it out in aqua and pink cardstock, glued it all together with liquid glue and adhered it to the top flap of the tag. To finish the tag, I added a few pink heart jelly dots from Stamp Anniething and added a bow and ribbon.
Thank you for visiting today and please come back tomorrow for Day 3 of our sneak peeks!
