Stamp Anniething New Release (Day 3): Richard - Big Spender

Welcome to Day 3 of Stamp Anniething's new releases! Today's card features the handsome little boy, Richard - Big Spender. This stamp set comes with two sentiments; one that says "Spend it Well" and one that says "Hey Big Spender." I made this A2 size card using two of the new die sets; the Gift card base and the Gift Card Candle Add on. This gift card holder can be used for both gift cards and cash.

I used the Candle Add On die to cut the card base so that I could attach the gift card holder onto it. I cut out the candles and the flames with patterned paper I had in my stash. The gift card holder comes with the front and back mat dies if you just want to make the holder by itself. I colored the stamp using Spectrum Noir Illustrator markers and used the coordinating outline die to cut it out. I used one of the Banner dies to cut out the sentiment.

Stamp Anniething New Release (Day 1) : Sierra - Make A Wish

Did you know the most popular type of greeting cards are birthday cards? We live in a digital world, but a handmade birthday card sent to a family member or friend is special and can mean a lot more than an ecard, email, or Facebook post. With this month's Stamp Anniething new release theme of birthdays you can make the perfect birthday card using the beautiful stamp I am featuring: Sierra - Make A Wish. 

This A2 size card is designed with several products from this month's new release. I used the Party Time Stencil, a candle from the Gift Card Candle Add On Die set, and the Wish word die. I also used the party hat stamp and outline die from the stamp set you will see tomorrow.

I used Stamp Anniething's Hybrid inks in Shocking Pink, Aspen Gold, and Freesia with the Party Time Stencil to make the cake background. Sierra - Make A Wish is colored with Copic alcohol markers. Colors are listed below.

Blank Page Muse - Day of the Dead Sugar Skulls Candle

Dia de los Muertos, or the Day of the Dead, is a Mexican religious holiday that is celebrated November 1 and 2. Sugar skulls are decorated in bright colors and used as an offering celebrating the deceased. The sugar skulls have become popular in the art world and have become a favorite design, not just for celebrating the Day of the Dead, but also for wall art, decorative items, and even tattoos. Today, I am sharing a candle I made using several of the stamps from Blank Page Muse Art Rubber Stamps called the Day of the Dead Sugar Skulls Marigold Flowers Sacred Heart Art Rubber Stamps designed by Donna Gray.

These candles are easy to make and you don't need very many supplies. They don't cost much to make and they are great gifts for any occasion. Let's get started!

Supplies:

• Blank Page Muse stamps: Day of the Dead Sugar Skulls Marigold Flowers Scared Heart Art Rubber Stamps designed by Donna Gray.
• White tissue paper
• Black ink pad
• Red ink pad
• Colored markers
• Scissors
• Tape runner
• White 3" tall candles (I used the smaller sugar skull. If you use the bigger one, get a minimum 4" tall candle)
• Wax paper
• Heat gun or hair dryer
• Optional: Cello bag and ribbon

Instructions:

• Stamp the small sugar skull, sacred heart, and roses (stamp 2) with a black ink pad on tissue paper (I stamped 4 roses, but only used 2).
• Stamp the hearts (stamp 2) with a red ink pad on tissue paper.
• Color the stamps with bright colored markers. Color them any color you like.

• Cut out the stamps leaving a small border. For the heart stamp, cut off the dots (or you can leave them).

• Using a tape runner, add a dab of tape onto the back of the tissue then adhere to the candle. Work with one large stamp or 2 small stamps at a time! 
• Wrap a piece of wax paper around the candle, pulling it taut. Make sure there are no air bubbles.

• Using a heat gun or hair dryer, apply heat over the stamp. When the stamp becomes shiny, it is adhered. Do not over heat or the candle will melt.
• Unwrap the wax paper and repeat applying one or two stamps at a time using a new piece of wax paper.

• For gift giving, wrap in cellophane and tie with a ribbon.
